Optimization of Pollutant Discharge Permits, Using the Trading Ratio System: A Case Study

Water quality management of rivers is one the challenges in analysis water resource systems. The optimal operation pollutant carrying capacity these systems provides significant economic value and could reduce treatment costs. In this study, application trading ratio system investigated to control cost pollutants a river make fair deal. regard, transfer coefficients between pollution sources, along with trade coefficients, are determined, considering limitations each pollutant’s contaminant impact. To provide allowable limits concentrations, total all sources minimized, using linear programming method. Finally, new discharge permits calculated for source. proposed method successfully applied Dez River as case study. Results show that maintain at standard level containing benefits participants program.
